Singapore, Aug 26, 2014 – MSLGROUP, the strategic communications and engagement consultancy of Publicis Groupe, and the largest brand and reputation advisory network in Asia and Europe, today announced the appointment of Jon Chin as Director of its Digital & Social Practice for South-east Asia. Based in Singapore, Chin’s appointment will enable MSLGROUP to strengthen its digital capability and further cement its position as a leader in integrated communications.
In his new role, Chin will oversee the development and integration of social and digital offerings into MSLGROUP’s portfolio of communication services and will provide senior counsel on integrated social marketing to regional and local clients operating from Singapore across various sectors including FMCG, education, building systems, public agencies, spirits, cable TV content and the travel and leisure sectors. He is also responsible for ensuring digital integration across the region to align with MSLGROUP’s global and regional direction and initiatives.

Chin brings with him over 16 years of experience in the conceptualization and execution of award-winning integrated communications campaigns for clients across the consumer lifestyle, B2B and corporate sectors, including leading Fortune 100 companies such as Philips, Azko Nobel, Estee Lauder, Bayer, Nokia, Scoot, VISA, EMC, and DBS.
Prior to joining MSLGROUP, Chin rose through the ranks of another global agency, first as VP, Digital in Singapore, then as Senior Vice President and Head of Digital for Southeast Asia. He was a senior member of that firm’s Global Social/Digital Leadership Team and successfully built a digital practice group in Singapore and launched a digitally integrated office in Bangkok.
Chin is also a regular speaker at international marketing and PR conferences and associations such as American Marketing Association, Academy of Marketing Science and Cornell University/Nanyang Business School and has articles published in well-respected publications.
