February 4, 2015 – MSLGROUP, the strategic communications and engagement consultancy of Publicis Groupe, and the largest brand and reputation advisory network in Asia and Europe, today announced the strategic appointment of Marina Mathews as Director of the Consumer Practice in Singapore. Her hire sees MSLGROUP further cement its leading position in consumer and marketing communications in the region, as the firm continues to build its senior counsel bench to provide insight-based, integrated consumer and marketing communications solutions geared towards creating significant impact for businesses and brands.
In her new role, Mathews will oversee the development of communications strategies across 10 markets for a large global FMCG company, and will lead MSLGROUP teams in developing and effecting marketing communications strategy and campaigns for Singapore-based clients across various sectors including spirits, cable TV content, travel and leisure sectors.
Mathews, a 16-year corporate, consumer and marketing veteran, brings to MSLGROUP a wealth of integrated communications strategy knowledge and experience from developing and driving campaigns for more than 50 consumer and lifestyle brands including Qantas, Nike, Lego, Leica, Lucas Films, Sunsilk, Panasonic and Disney. Previously the Managing Director of boutique agency Fulford PR, which she joined after the acquisition of her own firm, Chrysler Communications, Mathews has worked and counseled key global accounts in Australia and the Middle East before arriving in Singapore eight years ago.
Until recently, Mathews served for two years as President, Asia-Pacific of IPREX, a $200 million network of communications agencies with 1,500 staff and 100+ offices worldwide. She is also on the prestigious Industry Panel for Marketing & Public Relations Studies at Nanyang School of Business Management, and is a mentor for the new education institution, M2 Academy, in Singapore.
