On the morning of April 7th 2013, a bunch of MSLGROUP Asia’s senior managers convened around the coffee area in a conference room in Singapore, introducing each other and swapping common client stories in anticipation of what I for one, expected to be a rather dry summit on systems and processes. 
How wrong we were! The four day summit prompted intense discussion and innovative case studies delivered with innovation and passion – reflecting one of our key goals of being an unbound source of creativity and engagement.

As I try to keep pace with the grim economic news from around the world – hardly a day seems to pass without more bad news; the Libor rigging scandal being the latest – Asian economies are starting to feel the global headwinds.

I have some very exciting news to share with you all.
It has just been announced that I will take up the post of President of the PR Jury for this year’s Spikes Asia Awards 2012.
As most of you know, Spikes Asia is the region’s own ‘Cannes Lions,’ and is one of the most celebrated and prestigious creativity festivals in the world. I am thrilled to have been asked to take on this role, and look forward to helping define and honour the groundbreaking creativity in the PR industry today.

I was recently offered the opportunity by MSLGROUP Asia to participate in the Asia Mobility Experience. This meant that I could spend time in another office of my choice, and I decided on 3-week Engagement Stay with our India agency, Hanmer MSL.
This was a great opportunity for me to learn more about India, our clients there, and also give my Indian colleagues a flavor of the Singapore PR landscape. Here’s a snapshot of what I got up to!

A lot can happen in a day. You’ve heard that phrase before? Well, last Friday, a lot did happen in a day!
It all started with a pre-dawn, delayed flight to from Singapore to Hong Kong, for a best practices and insights sharing session with some of my Asia colleagues.
Besides my Hong Kong colleagues, also participating in our Friday fun were Ian, Parveez and Schubert from MSLGROUP India.
Asia, as we all know and recognize, is far from a homogenous region. Each country has such diverse socio, economic and political backdrops that makes for interesting and unique conversations and communications landscapes.
