If there is one word that would describe our two-year-plus journey that has led to MSLGROUP Social Hive India, it would be “FUN”. How could it be anything else! Dangerous, perhaps?  :) Enthusiasm and a team that contributes at every level, in every possible way, has led us through pitches, execution and world-class campaigns.

Of course, every one of us has a point of view on pretty much everything; which has led to strong disagreements, animated fights and the sort of posturing and aggression you only see amongst professional wrestlers in colorful tights.

People’s Insights Volume 1, Issue 43: The Beauty Inside

A social film from Toshiba and Intel

The Beauty Inside is a six episode web series in which the audience plays the lead role of Alex – a shape shifter who wakes up in a new body everyday and documents his identities in a Toshiba Ultrabook.

People were cast alongside Hollywood stars and TV actors Topher Grace (That 70’s Show), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Final Destination 3) and Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds), and directed by Sundance acclaimed director Drake Doremus.

As the film’s tagline puts it:

People’s Insights Volume 1, Issue 40: Coke Zero – Unlock the 007 in You

Coke Zero – Unlock the 007 in You

As part of its promotions for the newest James Bond movie Skyfall, Coke Zero challenged unsuspecting passengers at a train station in Belgium to unlock the 007 in them and complete a mission in 70 seconds.

The mission began at a Coke vending machine and directed participants to race to Platform 6 to win free tickets to the launch of Skyfall. Participants evaded obstacles such as an old lady with dogs, a spilled cart of oranges and an attractive ex-girlfriend. Upon reaching the second vending machine at Platform 6, participants had to sing the James Bond anthem to successfully complete the mission.

New Office, New Beginnings

What makes new beginnings so exciting? For me, it’s the chance to be something you’ve never been before.

This is the thought that flashed through my mind as MSLGROUP Asia President Glenn Osaki lit the ceremonial lamp, inaugurating the network’s new headquarters in Lower Parel, the erstwhile mill district that is itself becoming what nobody imagined it would – Mumbai’s very own Fleet Street.

What is SuperBetter?

SuperBetter is a super-hero themed online game that helps people improve their resilience, meet their health goals, recover from illness or injury, and have fun along the way.

Jane McGonigal, a renowned game designer, came up with the concept while battling a concussion. She had been researching recovery strategies, and was struck by how similar they were to playing multi-player games:

Alpenliebe is the flagship brand of Perfetti Van Melle, a global manufacturer of confectionery.  The rich, milky caramel toffee entered the China market 15 years ago, and was the number one confectionary brand in China in terms of volume.

In 2011, Alpenliebe launched a year-long initiative to catalyze a kindness movement and inspire millions of Chinese youth to appreciate, share stories about and engage in everyday acts of kindness.
