I was recently offered the opportunity by MSLGROUP Asia to participate in the Asia Mobility Experience. This meant that I could spend time in another office of my choice, and I decided on 3-week Engagement Stay with our India agency, Hanmer MSL.

A lot can happen in a day. Youâ€™ve heard that phrase before? Well, last Friday, a lot did happen in a day!
It all started with a pre-dawn, delayed flight to from Singapore to Hong Kong, for a best practices and insights sharing session with some of my Asia colleagues.
Besides my Hong Kong colleagues, also participating in our Friday fun were Ian, Parveez and Schubert from MSLGROUP India.

Last night at the MARKETING Magazine Agency of the Year award dinner, our table was full of beaming, smiling faces. And for good reason.
In the past three years, the MSL Singapore office has experienced an exciting growth path. In spite of the 2008 economic downturn, a gloomy 2009 business sentiment, we quadrupled in staff strength, grew many times over in terms of business revenue, and won many prestigious client accounts.
And we are continuing this upward trend to this day.
At a time when PR talents express concern about a lack of mentoring and learning in their daily work, I am proud to say that we have fostered a strong team of youthful, passionate consultants who go the extra mile under the guidance of nurturing senior leadership personnel. When there were challenges, we overcame them as a team. As a result, we grew stronger and better together.
Year on year, we experience a high client retention rate in the 90% range. This is a huge testament to how our deliberate choice to focus on our clients’ needs is appreciated.
Winning this award means a lot to us for several reasons:
â€¢ It is a client-nominated award. It is our clients’ belief in us that got us shortlisted.
â€¢ It is our first-time nomination in this category. On top of this, we were pitted against entrenched international PR agencies.
â€¢ The nomination puts us officially on the list of top ten PR agencies in Singapore. Just three years ago, our brand was still a relatively untested one in the market.
